Youth Clinic @ Brookside - a huge success!

The RAYs kicked off their season last Saturday with a clinic at Brookside Field. Seventy-five returning and first time players enjoyed and a fun and successful morning of flag rugby.
Following the distribution of uniforms and equipment (thanks in large part to the help of some dedicated volunteers) the kids were split up by age, met their coaches and started playing rugby. In most cases, each group went over some brief rugby familiarization and then jumped into passing drills, games of sharks and minnows and finally scrimmages.
Many thanks to the parents, volunteers, coaches and of course the players that allowed for a great start to the summer 2010 season. Special thanks to PlayRugby USA for their two expert coaches from across the pond.
We are looking forward to another great turnout on Thursday evening and on Saturday July 3rd for our first home tournament.
